01Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described in this notice is:
TRACONS International GmbH
Sulzerallee 70, 8404 Winterthur, Switzerland
UID CHE-196.598.272
Email: consulting@traconsint.com · Telephone: +41 79 539 74 09
Where personal data is processed by our Czech company, TRACONS International s.r.o., Prague (IČO 06645089), that company is the controller for its own processing. You can reach both companies at the same email address.
02Which laws apply
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and its ordinance. Where our processing falls within the scope of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — in particular for our Czech company, or when we offer services to people in the European Union — we also comply with the GDPR.
03When you visit this website
Server logs. Our website is hosted by Hostinger. When you open a page, the hosting provider automatically records technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referring page, browser type and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to detect misuse. Log data is kept only for a short period and is not combined with other data.
Fonts. To display our typefaces, this website loads fonts from Google Fonts, a service of Google. Your browser therefore connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Google may process this data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the United States. For details, see Google’s privacy policy.
No cookies, analytics or tracking. This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tools. It keeps only a small technical note in your browser’s session storage — whether the opening animation and page transitions have already played — so they do not repeat on every page. This note contains no personal data, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is cleared when you close the browser tab. The music is generated on your own device and sends no data.
04When you contact us
If you contact us by email, by telephone or through the contact form, we process the details you give us — typically your name, email address, company, the subject of your enquiry and your message — in order to answer you and, where relevant, to prepare or carry out a business relationship.
Messages sent through the contact form are passed directly to our mailbox by our hosting provider’s mail server; they are not stored on the website. To protect the form against spam and flooding, the server keeps, for at most one hour, a one-way code derived from the sender’s IP address. The key used to create that code is replaced every day, after which the code can no longer be linked to anyone. The IP address itself is never stored.
Please do not send us sensitive personal data (for example health information) unless it is genuinely needed for your enquiry.
05Clients, suppliers and partners
In the course of our consulting, sourcing and trading work, we process contact and business data of our clients, suppliers, business partners and their employees — such as names, job titles, business contact details and correspondence. We use this data to perform and manage contracts, to maintain business relationships, to assess and qualify suppliers, and to meet our legal obligations.
06Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- compliance with legal obligations, for example accounting and tax retention rules (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR);
- our legitimate interests in operating a secure website, answering enquiries and managing business relationships (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- your consent, where we ask for it; you can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
07Who receives your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary with:
- service providers who support us — for example hosting, email and IT providers — bound by contract to process data only on our instructions;
- the other TRACONS company (Switzerland or Czech Republic), where needed to handle your enquiry or project;
- professional advisers such as accountants, auditors and lawyers;
- authorities and courts, where we are legally required to do so.
08International transfers
Our companies are based in Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Switzerland and the EU recognise each other as providing an adequate level of data protection. If personal data is transferred to a country without an adequate level of protection, we use recognised safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and accepted by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or rely on a statutory exception.
09How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted once they are dealt with and no longer relevant. Business records are kept for as long as statutory retention obligations require — in Switzerland, generally ten years for accounting records.
10Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This website is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so please take care when sending information by email.
11Your rights
Subject to the applicable law, you have the right to:
- request information about the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted or its processing restricted;
- receive data you provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw any consent you have given.
To exercise these rights, write to consulting@traconsint.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ); or the authority in your EU country of residence.
